Phase I - The US Cornonavirus Ramp (completed)
In early January 2020, the Wuhan viral outbreak advanced significantly, increasing the potential for this to become a significant risk beyond China’s borders. Corona Scale Phase 1 included 18 “flags” – events in the US that would indicate a growing likelihood of this impacting the US. Examples include the first US death from Coronavirus, a school cancellation, a CDC warning, a CV-related stock market drop, a public warning from a doctor about CV, etc. These 18 flags are in the Phase I page on this site, and all activated by early March. Tracking them served as an early warning indicator.
Phase II - The US Cornonavirus Impact (current)
With all Phase I flags thrown, it became clear that Coronavirus would have a major impact on the US. How significant and over what timeframe drove the creation of 60+ new “flags” – which are in this site as Phase II.
Phase III - The US Cornonavirus Recovery (pending)
We will turn the corner. When and how rapidly and completely are in this site as Phase III.
